Project overview

CodeGPS brings navigation and delivery operations into an iOS application. It connects the immediate task of reaching a destination with the supporting work of capturing information, recording mileage, and producing reports.

Problem or objective

Delivery work involves more than directions. Information needs to be captured, the next stop needs to be understood, and a usable record of the work needs to remain. The objective was to address that connected workflow in a mobile experience.

Solution approach

I developed CodeGPS around the sequence of delivery work, combining native location services with information capture and local data storage. Route guidance, voice guidance, tracking, and reporting are treated as related parts of the same operational need.

Architecture & technical elements

Swift provides the native application foundation. MapKit and CoreLocation support mapping and location behavior; Vision supports text recognition. SQLite provides local persistence for operational records used in tracking and reporting.
