Expertise

The right problem. The right solution.

I connect business understanding with the technical work required to turn it into something useful.

01

Business & Workflow Analysis

What needs to work better, and for whom?

Understand existing processes, uncover inefficiencies, define requirements, and identify practical opportunities for improvement.

I start with the people doing the work: what they need to accomplish, where information gets lost, and which constraints shape their decisions. The objective is a shared understanding of the problem before choosing a technical solution.

  • Map workflows and information handoffs
  • Clarify stakeholder needs and operational constraints
  • Define priorities and measurable acceptance criteria
02

Digital Solution Architecture

What is the right system for this situation?

Translate operational requirements into technical designs, platforms, integrations, and sustainable system boundaries.

I consider the fit between the business need and the system that will support it. Platform choices, data ownership, access boundaries, integrations, and recovery all belong in that conversation. Sometimes the most useful decision is to simplify the scope.

  • Evaluate platform and integration tradeoffs
  • Define data flows, access rules, and system responsibilities
  • Plan for maintainability, deployment, and recovery

Custom Web & Mobile Development

How will this help someone do their work?

Develop purpose-built web applications, iOS solutions, operational tools, and connected digital platforms.

I take requirements into working software, with attention to the everyday details that determine whether it is useful. That includes clear interfaces, reliable state management, appropriate persistence, and behavior that can be tested against the original need.

  • Build focused web and Apple platform experiences
  • Connect interfaces, application logic, and data
  • Validate workflows under realistic operating conditions

AI-Enabled Solutions

Where can AI help, and what must stay under human control?

Apply AI and modern AI-assisted development workflows when they offer practical business value, while maintaining human oversight and operational control.

I use AI both as a development tool and, where appropriate, as part of a product. Those are distinct roles. Coding agents work within defined tasks and review boundaries; product recommendations need evidence, validation, and an accountable human decision.

  • Identify useful applications for AI
  • Direct coding agents with explicit constraints and review
  • Separate recommendations from permission to act

Long-term usefulness is a design decision.

A solution needs to fit the people who will use it and the organization that will sustain it.

I consider maintenance, operating constraints, and recovery as part of the initial design. I also question whether a new application is necessary: improving a workflow or using an existing platform may be the better answer.
